Expertise:

• Practises exclusively in corporate and commercial law.
• Extensive knowledge in restrictive trade practices compliance, protection and commercialisation of inventions and other intellectual property, negotiating licensing and distribution arrangements (both local, national and international), joint ventures and contract administration.
• Advises local governments on a variety of complex property transactions and acquisition of other State and Federal Government assets.

Acts for:

• A number of public sector bodies and many leading Hunter region businesses including Newcastle Airport Limited, Hunter Water Corporation, Ausgrid (formerly EnergyAustralia), Port Stephens Council, Newcastle City Council, Lake Macquarie City Council, Hunter Development Corporation (and its predecessors Honeysuckle Development Corporation and RLMC), Hunter New England Area Health, The University of Newcastle, Forsythes, and Tourism Hunter (formerly Hunter Regional Tourism Organisation).

Appointments:

• Appointed the inaugural clinical lecturer in commercial law at the University of Newcastle.

Qualifications:

• Public Notary and a member of the Society of Notaries of NSW.
• Admitted as a solicitor in 1989.
