POLICE COMMUNITY RAISE FUNDS FOR JENNY HEGGS

On Wednesday, 26 October 2005 a benefit bowls day was held at Club Macquarie to raise funds to assist injured police officer Jenny Heggs as she begins her rehabilitation.

Suffering serious injuries when she was struck by a motor vehicle whilst off duty in September 2005, Jenny spent 10 days in intensive care in a critical condition and now faces extensive therapy.

The bowls day was a great success with over 150 members of the police community helping to raise well over $5000.

Those attending the bowls day included Harris Wheeler’s  Tony Cardillo, John Williams, Daniel Lewis, Bruce Lachlan and Dominic Mason.

At the bowls day Harris Wheeler’s Senior Partner, John Williams, announced the firm is arranging a benefit dinner, expected to be held in March 2006, to raise further funds for Jenny.
