JUSTIN NORRIS OPENS SWIM ACADEMY

December sees the opening of the Justin Norris Swim Academy in Thornton, the Hunter Region’s first purpose built learn to swim centre.

The $1.5 million fully indoor and temperature controlled facility features two specialised pools designed specifically for teaching people to swim, plus an air-conditioned viewing area and cafe.

The Olympic Medalist is excited to be opening his first swim centre and explains how it offers a superior environment for families,

“Our focus is on making the water safe and comfortable for children and giving parents a well deserved break. Our vision is to have children enjoy the best in aquatic tuition while mum and dad watch from the air-conditioned cafe, keeping an eye on their other toddler in the contained play area.”

A range of programs and activities have been devised by Norris including learn to swim for all ages from 3 month old babies to adults plus aqua aerobics, disability programs, hydrotherapy, stroke correction and squads.
